Custom 1/12 scale felted animals on a movable metal wire armature

My love for miniatures, animals and dolls has always been very strong. Drawing, sculpting and animation are also part of my passions. Since I am an eternal kid inside, I like to move and play with my miniatures which lead me to learn needle felting so that I can make movable scupltures on a metal armature. My sculptures can take many positions and are made from a mix of wool and silk. They are 1/12 scale and are made to fit in any dollhouse scene. I simply love to do custom sculptures of people's pets and am always looking forward to a new challenge. I also started to make ball jointed dolls which has been a passion of mine since I can remember. I am open for commissions, please contact me should you have any questions or comments.

Great material for miniature knitting!

I am still farely new at knitting and I always do things backwards so I learned to do miniature knitting when I could barely knit in full scale. At first, it was so frustrating, I could never do two stiches... Dropped them each time. Since I am very patient (or crazy) I bought a special yarn for knitting in miniature but the results were not impressive. The yarn was not flexible and the knit resulting looked stiff. I never gave up on the idea so I was excited when I went to a shop in Ottawa (fabricationsottawa.com) that carried this needle working thread kit that caught my eyes right
as I entered the lovely shop... The price was a bit more than what I would have wanted to spend but the colours were so awesome, I could not resist... This is what the kit looks like.

I was so excited, I wanted to try it out! I have been wanting to create miniature sweaters for my felted animals for a while now and I though that this thread would work beautifully... And I was right! I love it so much I am sadly going to get a second kit to get more colour variety... I will be broke in no time...
Here is my first attempt at a sweater.

Little Trixie loves her new sweather, she is all cozy and she will be more than ready for nice walks during Fall.

Here is another dog shirt  I made, isn't it adorable?!

I love fall and so does my dogs!

    1. Thank you so much! I am very happy you like my tiny felted friends! The fun part about them is that they can take any position that you like, therefore you create their personality by posing them. I will be working on new breeds soon, I would like to do huskies, golden retrievers, kittens and cavalier spaniels ect. so you can expect to see more. I am glad you like my work and thank you for the lovely comment.!
